Professional Services Firm Rolls Out Mobile and ERP Applications from SAP to Increase Field-Force Efficiency, Improve Operating Margin and Enhance Customer Satisfaction

SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) today announced that leading international IT services company Atos Origin is extending its SAP® solution set to tightly link its field force with back-office operations. The company is deploying mobile applications based on the SAP NetWeaver™ integration and application platform for its 45,000 field consultants. Working from remote locations, these professionals will be able to quickly deliver project information and time and travel costs to headquarters. By gaining faster, deeper insight into projects and costs across its widespread operations in 45 countries, the company aims to optimize workforce utilization and customer service while expediting invoice processing and improving profit margins. Atos Origin is presenting how SAP® solutions for mobile business and industry-specific SAP software are driving its business process innovation at SAPPHIRE®, SAP’s international customer conference being held in New Orleans, Louisiana, May 11-13.

With its mobile workforce using the SAP® Mobile Time and Travel solution to directly feed data into the company’s existing ERP environment from SAP, Atos Origin will gain more efficient, paperless invoicing processes to quickly resolve customer claims and achieve faster recognition of revenue. To improve processes across its global corporate backend in parallel, the company is rolling out financials, e-procurement and supplier relationship management applications from the SAP for Professional Services portfolio. By 2005, the company’s back-office SAP footprint will span nearly 9,000 users at offices in more than 25 countries, up from the current 2,000 SAP users.
